Chosen Portion is a faith-centered mobile app that helps people pray, read Scripture, and reflect through text, audio, and guided conversations.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you when you use Chosen Portion.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your account details, prayer requests, messages, reading preferences, reminder settings, and other content you choose to enter in the app.

We also collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate the service, such as device identifiers, authentication state, crash or diagnostic information, and timestamps related to app activity.

If you use audio or speech features, microphone input and related audio data may be processed to provide transcription, voice playback, or conversation features that you intentionally start.

How we use information

We use your information to authenticate your account, deliver prayers and devotional experiences, personalize reminders and preferences, improve app reliability, and keep the service secure.

Content you submit may be processed by service providers that help us deliver core functionality such as hosting, authentication, text generation, and audio generation.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as needed to operate the service, comply with the law, protect users and the service, or work with vendors that process data on our behalf under appropriate obligations.

Accounts, storage, and retention

Chosen Portion now requires a free account after onboarding so your prayers, reminders, and conversations stay attached to you across sessions and devices.

Some data is stored locally on your device, and some data is stored on our servers or with infrastructure providers so the service can function. We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Your choices

You can manage reminders, sign out, restart onboarding, and remove local data from within the app. You may also choose whether to use optional voice or notification features.

If the app offers export or deletion tools, you can use those tools inside Settings. You can also contact us through the support contact listed with the app for privacy-related questions.

Children's privacy

Chosen Portion is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and provide additional notice when appropriate.
