Prayer for young adults

Father, I have hedged my faith with plans You never asked for. Backup plans. Safety nets. Quiet exits if You do not show up. Ezra once told a king that Your hand is good to all who seek You. He was too ashamed to go back and ask for soldiers. He chose to let his words be true, even when it cost him. Make me that kind of person. Show me the protection I am about to ask for that would betray what I have already said about You. Make me embarrassed to hedge. Your hand is good to those who seek You. Let me live today as one who actually believes that. Amen.
