Prayer for young adults

Father, people have quoted Romans 8:28 to me like it means all things are good. But that is not what it says. It says You are working in all of it toward a good only You can name. Save me from pretending grief is not real. Save me from bitterness that refuses to trust You. Christ, You never promised my hard year would feel good. You promised it would not be wasted. Spirit, hold me in that serious confidence. I will name what was actually hard. I will trust You with what You are actually doing. Some of the good I will see. Some I will not see this side of glory. But You are working. That is the verse. Amen.
