Prayer for young adults

Father, it is evening, and I am tempted to file the day under what went wrong. The conversation I fumbled. The deadline I cleared by an hour. The hour I lost to my phone. But You call me to remember Your good gifts, not just my mistakes. Slow me down before I close this day. Christ, You gave me food I did not grow, breath I did not earn, friendships I did not deserve. The bus came on time. The headache lifted. A song moved me at lunch and I forgot to thank You. Spirit, train my memory to find Your mercies and not only my mistakes. Forgive what I confessed today, and the things I did not even notice to confess. Hold the unfinished work until morning. I am not in charge of everything. I am Your child. Let me sleep tonight as one who has been kept by You.
