Prayer for young adults
Anchors: 2 Samuel 9:13
Father,
In Your Word, there was a man named Mephibosheth. He could not walk. But King David let him eat at the king's table anyway. The king did not wait for his legs to work. He just wanted him there.
I have been hiding the things that make me feel like I do not belong. The pattern I am ashamed of. The weakness I cannot shake. The habit that keeps coming back. The way I keep messing up my relationships. I have been waiting to be more put-together before I come to You. But You have already invited me.
You do not need me to be fixed first. You want me at the table. The grace is the invitation, not something I earn after I get better. If healing comes, it is a gift from You. But the meal happens today, even when I am still broken.
So I come as I am. Lame in whatever way that looks like this week. The recurring weakness. The thing that has not healed. The slow pattern. All of it comes with me to the table. You are not embarrassed. The food is still good. I am still Yours.
Help me eat. Help me stay. The seat is mine in Christ. Take me to the meal.
Amen.
