Prayer for young adults
Anchors: Acts 5:31, 1 Peter 5:6
Father, You raised Jesus up and gave Him the highest place. Acts 5:31 says You made Him the Prince and Savior. You did the lifting. He did not push His way up.
I spend so much energy trying to lift myself up. The post that will get likes. The mention that gets me noticed. The right person to stand next to. The way I arrange my life so the next chance finds me ready. That is not how Your kingdom moves.
Jesus did the work You gave Him, even when people mocked Him in public. Then You raised Him up. Being lifted up followed obedience. It did not come from self-promotion.
So today, take my self-promotional energy and turn it into real obedience. The platform, the title, the attention — I leave those in Your hand. Let me do the work in front of me. If You lift me up, You lift me up. If You do not, You do not. Either way the work is the same. Teach me to trust Your right hand more than my own push for attention. Your kingdom does not run on self-promotion. It runs on the Prince and Savior You raised.
Amen.
