Prayer for young adults

Father, I know that my Redeemer lives. Job said that from the worst chapter of his life. He could not see how it would end. His friends made things worse. His body was weak. His children were gone. And still he said, I know.

I have been hedging. I say I hope so about the resurrection. About heaven. About whether I will be okay. It sounds humble. But really I am just scared of being wrong.

Job was not scared of that. He had more on the line than I do. And he still said, I know.

So today I drop some of my hedges. You live. That is not a wish. That is what I know, because You rose, because Your Spirit is in me, because I have seen You at work in my life. I will not pretend to know every answer. But on this core thing, let me say Job's word. I know.

Strengthen what I know where I have been holding back. Give me courage to say it out loud when it matters.
