Prayer for young adults

Father, Jesus asked You to take the hard thing away. He was honest first. He did not pretend He wanted it. Then He said, not my will but Yours.

I have been cleaning up my prayers. I bring You the nice version. The version where I already look okay. But that is not what Jesus did. He was on the ground. He was real.

So here is the truth. There is something hard in front of me. I do not want it. I am asking You to take it away.

And if You do not, I am still Yours. Not my will, but Yours. Let my yes come after my honesty, not instead of it.

Meet me where I really am.
