Prayer for young adults

Lord, I have been sitting at the gate. There are things I have been avoiding. The talk I am afraid to have. The apology I owe. The new group I have not joined. The project I keep putting off. I tell myself that staying put is safe. But doing nothing is the riskiest thing of all.

In 2 Kings 7, four lepers sat at the gate of a starving city. They decided that if they stayed, they would die. So they got up and walked. They did not know it, but God had already made a way. The enemy had already fled. They were the first to find the help that was already there.

I want to believe You have gone ahead of me too. So today, help me get up. I do not have to do everything at once. Just the phone call. Just the first paragraph. Just the simple ask. Help me move, even when it feels awkward. I trust that You are already in the place I am walking to. Lead me.
