Prayer for young adults

Father,

You gave the exiled king a portion every day from a foreign table. Not a contract. Not a big store of food to manage. Just enough for that day, and then again the next.

I want a vault. I want enough grace saved up so I do not have to come back tomorrow. I want faith in bulk so I can stop asking. But that is not how Your kingdom works, and I am more frustrated by that than I have said out loud.

So here is what I need today: enough courage for what I have to face this morning, enough patience for the hard conversation this afternoon, enough self-control for the temptation tonight. That is today's portion. I am not asking for next week's. I do not have last week's left. It is gone.

Let me come to You like someone who needs fresh bread every day, not like someone who is in charge of the pantry. I will eat from Your hand this morning. I will come back tomorrow and eat from Your hand again. And that will be enough.
