Prayer for young adults

Father, Paul wrote that Your goal is to bring every person to maturity in Christ. Not just looking mature. Actually being mature. Being finished, whole, and fully alive in You.

But my goals are often different. I want reach. I want influence. I want the viral moment. I want a platform that makes me sound wise. I want to be known more than I want to be changed.

And most days, the algorithm wins. I get better at sounding mature than at being mature. I have been picking the wrong side of that line.

So redirect my ambition. Do not take it away. Aim it. Take the energy I spend trying to look formed and put it into actually being formed. Give me slow patience with people. Quiet repentance when I am wrong. Real prayer when nothing is happening. The small, hidden acts of obedience that add up over years into someone who looks like Jesus.

Make me a person Paul could present to You. The rest is rented.
