Doubt Prayer

Father,

I believe. Help my unbelief.

That father in Mark 9 had faith and doubt in the same chest at the same moment. He did not hide the mess. He brought it straight to Jesus. And You did not turn him away.

I have felt disqualified by my doubts. I have wondered if I am even allowed to pray when my faith is weak. But that father's prayer says I am. So I am praying it now.

The believing part is real. The unbelieving part is real too. Take the mixture and work with it.

Where my faith is thin, make it stronger. Where my doubts hold a real question, give me patience and time. Do not let me run from the questions. Do not let me drown in them either.

Hold me like that father held his boy. Heal what needs healing. Help me believe.
