Prayer for teens

Father, Jesus said, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink." The last day of the year is a good day to be thirsty. I am tired. This year had bright spots and dark stretches. Some of what I wanted I did not get. Some of what I got I did not want. Whatever I need to bring into the new year, I bring to You. I do not need to summarize the year. I just need to come thirsty. You invite the thirsty, not the impressive. I qualify. This thirst is not weakness. It is what lets me hear You. You stood and cried out, loud enough for me to hear at the end of a long year. Let me come. Amen.
