Prayer for teens

Father, in Matthew 1 You call Jesus Immanuel, God with us. Today is December 19. Christmas is close enough to feel the pressure and far enough that I still have to wait. Be with me in this in-between. Most of my life is in-between. Not just the big days. Show me how to be present right now. Not just waiting for Christmas to start living. Help me trust that You are with me on a plain Tuesday as much as on December 25. When I am waiting for a text to come back. When I am waiting for grades to post. When I am waiting for the holiday to arrive. Train me to notice that You are already here. Make me believe the Immanuel name today. Amen.
