Prayer for teens

Father, Psalm 130 says, "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in Your word I hope." Waiting in December is hard. There is so much hype about how this season is supposed to feel. Mine has not felt that way. That is okay. I will wait. My hope is in Your word, not in the seasonal feeling. Tonight help me put down the disappointment about the season not being magical. Help me wait for You in the actual day I am in. Most of Christmas is just regular days dressed up. Help me find You in the plain ones. Amen.
