Prayer for teens

Father,

Psalm 13 starts with "How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?" That question saves me. It means the Bible has room for what I keep feeling.

Let me say my hard part.
How long does this last?
Why has this season been so quiet from You?

I do not need an answer right now.
I just need to know that asking is allowed.
It is.

Walk me slowly toward the ending of that psalm.
The part where David trusts You again.
The question is not a sign that I lost faith.
It is a sign I am still close enough to ask.

Let my asking be the same kind.
