Prayer for teens

Anchors: Psalm 56:3, Psalm 56:4

Father, Psalm 56 says, "when I am afraid, I will trust in You." Not "I will not be afraid." Just, when the fear comes, I will move toward You inside of it. Today I am afraid of some specific things, a conversation, a result, a person's opinion. I will not pretend they do not scare me. I am bringing the fear in instead of leaving it outside the prayer. I do not need You to remove the thing. I need You to be with me in it. The verse does not say a brave person never feels fear. It says even when I am afraid, I trust. That means courage is for ordinary scared people, not just heroes. I am ordinary and scared today. Help me trust You anyway. Amen.
