Prayer for teens

Father, Psalm 111 says, "He has commanded His covenant forever." A covenant is a promise You made that does not depend on me being good. That is the part I keep needing to hear. On the days I think I have ruined something, the covenant did not move. On the days I forgot You completely, the covenant still stood. Tonight let me trust what You said. It is older than my mood, older than my doubt, older than the worst thing I did this year. The cross sealed it. What was written in blood does not change because I feel bad or feel far away. Let me sleep on that tonight, not because I have been good, but because the covenant has been kept by Someone better than me from the start. Amen.
