Prayer for teens

Father, David was called the sweet psalmist of Israel. He put real feelings into words. He complained, asked questions, got angry, doubted, and worshiped, sometimes all at once. Make me a person who prays like that. Not just church words. Not pretending I am fine. Let me bring You my real moods, sad, mad, scared, bored, all of it. Some of the best prayers in the Bible were messy. Mine can be too. David did not edit himself. The honesty was the worship. Help me bring honesty as my worship today. The clean prayer I have been performing is not the prayer You are listening for. The real one is. Amen.
