Prayer for teens
Anchors: Mark 14:72, John 21:17
Father, in Mark 14 Peter remembered what he had done, and he wept. He did not stay in that weeping forever, but he did not skip it either. I tend to skip it. I move on too fast from the thing I said, the way I treated someone, the thing I should not have looked at. Let me sit in this just long enough to mean it. I am sorry. Not theater-sorry. Just sorry. Now meet me on the other side of that sorrow the way You met Peter on the beach. Tell me to keep loving people. Tell me to keep showing up. Let regret turn into a different action, not a permanent ache. Peter did not stop being used by You because of his failure. Make my repentance be like his, real and felt, and then turned into something new. Amen.
