Prayer for teens

Anchors: Colossians 2:9, Colossians 2:10

Father, I do not like that I want everyone to think I am the smartest one in the room. Your Word says I am already complete in Christ. If that is true, I do not have to win every argument to prove I belong. Take this need to be the smartest. Most of my smart-sounding sentences are just insecurity in costume. Pull me back from needing to be right out loud. Put me into actually understanding what is being discussed. Help me listen more than I talk tomorrow. Help me let other people answer first, especially the kid I keep cutting off without realizing it. Being humble is not pretending I am stupid. It is being honest about my real size in the room. Hold me to that. Amen.
