Prayer for teens
Anchors: John 16:32
Father, I am trying to pray and I am also trying not to think about a fight I had with a friend two hours ago. The fight keeps winning. Jesus, You said a time would come when everyone would leave You alone — but You were not alone, because the Father was with You. That has been carrying me lately. Even when nobody else gets it, You are with me. I do not have to perform prayer. I can just sit. The wandering mind is fine. The half-formed sentences are fine. Your Spirit groans for me when I cannot find the words, and I will lean on that tonight. Tomorrow I will text the friend before second period. Not a paragraph. One sentence: I am sorry I went sharp; can we talk after school? That is the small obedience. Help me rest now. Amen.
