Prayer for teens
Anchors: 1 John 3:1
Father, I am sometimes meaner than I think I am. I saw it today when I made a joke about somebody at the table and watched their face change — and then I pretended I hadn't noticed. I have been someone who looks fine on the outside but is different on the inside. I am tired of being that. I am not asking You to fix everything tonight. I am asking You to take this one small thing — the joke at someone's expense — and let me be truly sorry. Not just embarrassed that I got caught. Real sorrow, the kind that changes what I say next. I want to be the same person inside as outside. Right now the inside needs work. Start there. Amen.
