Prayer for new mothers

Father, I have been measuring everything this season. The ounces of milk. The hours of sleep. The small reserves of patience. The number of times I check the crib to see if the baby is still breathing. You give some things without a measure. Mercy, You give without a measure. Grace, You give without a measure. The forgiveness for this morning's lost temper, You give without a measure. Let the unmeasured gifts be the ones I lean on today. The measured ones run out. The unmeasured do not. Amen.
