Prayer for new mothers

Father, the night light by the crib is still glowing in the hallway. Your Word says we are to shine as lights in a dark world. That shining sounds so big, but my morning is small. The nation may not see me today. The dry cleaner will. The cashier will. The other mom in the waiting room will. Let me shine my small light there. By being honest. By being kind to the receptionist. By not snapping when the parking lot is full. By speaking gently when You give me a chance. Not all lights are spotlights. Some are night lights down the hall. Let mine be that small light tonight. Amen.
