Prayer for new mothers

Father, Jesus said in John 14 that He shows Himself to the one who loves Him and keeps His word. He promises to show Himself to me.

I have been waiting for something big. A loud sign. A clear feeling of His nearness while I sit here in the quiet dark.

But He shows Himself in small ways. A line from the Bible that hits harder than I expected. The weight of my baby's hand on my chest while she sleeps. A moment of peace when I did not think it was possible.

These are not small things. These are You, showing Yourself to me. You are not always loud. You are often quiet.

Open my eyes to see You today. Even in the small things. Especially in the small things.
