Prayer for new mothers

Father, You chose to stand with people who had every reason to be far from You. You still do that with me.

You stay close to the version of me I am ashamed of. The cranky one at four in the afternoon. The one who cried over something small my partner said. The one who has not been to church in three weeks because the baby has been sick.

You do not wait at a distance until I clean up. You stand with me right now.

Let me come to You as the real woman I am today, not the polished one. You are already standing with the real one. I will join You there.
