Prayer for new mothers
Anchors: Song of Solomon 3:1
Father, Your Word says, "I sought him, but I found him not." I have been there this week. Not in any big crisis. Just the slow drift of someone too tired to seek anything for long.
I do not need to force a feeling of Your nearness. I need to come back to where I last knew it. The morning chapter I used to read. The quiet minutes before the house wakes. The plain sorry after I have been sharp with the one I love.
You have not moved. I am the one who wandered. And even when I do not feel You, the search still counts. Dryness is not the end. It is part of how the search goes on.
Today I will pick up the small habit I dropped. Meet me there. Even in the fog of night feeds and a baby's hand on my neck. Make Yourself known in the ordinary place I look.
Amen.
