Prayer for grandmothers
Anchors: Ecclesiastes 9:10
Father, Your Word says to do whatever my hand finds to do with all my might. Today my hands have small work. Set the table. Warm the food. Greet the ones You send through my door. Help me not hold back my best because the work looks small. I am tired, Lord. My back aches and my feet are sore. But these people at my table are Your gift to me. Let me set the napkins with full attention. Let me listen to their stories like they matter. Because they do. Not just to me. To You. Make me a woman who loves with fierce, quiet strength today. Not in muscle. In attention. In gratitude. In the small, steady work of welcoming everyone You place in front of me. This is the day's work. Let me do it with might. Amen.
