Prayer for grandmothers
Anchors: Jeremiah 32:41
Father, Your word says in Jeremiah 32:41 that You rejoice over me to do me good. That word 'rejoice' changes the day. You are not just putting up with me. You are glad to do me good.
I do not always feel like someone You would rejoice over. The morning is ordinary. My body is creaky. My mind has been small. But the verse does not change. You rejoice over me. That joy is in You. It does not depend on how I perform.
Lord Jesus, let that truth turn my morning around. I have spent years measuring if I am worthy of Your help. Your word cuts through that. You rejoice to do me good.
Today I will take what You bring without arguing if I deserve it. The mercy in my breakfast. The mercy in the verse I read. The mercy in the phone call. The hidden mercy in what You stopped before I ever knew. All of it comes from Someone who is glad to give it.
Let me receive like a child whose father is glad to feed her. I had forgotten that picture. Thank You for the reminder.
Amen.
