Prayer for grandmothers
Anchors: Psalm 73:24
Father, Psalm 73:24 says You will guide me with Your counsel and afterward receive me to glory. That one verse holds my whole life right now — the needing help today and the hope of being with You someday. I am at the age where both of those feel close. I need Your guidance for this year. The doctor's appointments. The family decisions. The question of whether to stay in this apartment or move closer to my daughter. And I feel the hope of heaven more than I used to. Walter is already there. My pastor is already there. The cousins I grew up with are already home with You. Lord, guide me through this month. I do not need to see ten years ahead. Just this stretch. Help me in the conversation with my daughter on Wednesday. Help me choose the new doctor. Help me with my prayer list. I do not have to pull the future toward me. You hold what I need right now, and You hold what is coming. Walk me into September. Amen.
