Prayer for grandmothers

Father, I am not as strong as I once was, and I will not pretend otherwise. But whatever strength I have today, it is Yours, and I offer it back to You.

Caleb asked for his mountain at eighty-five. I will not ask for someone else's mountain. The one in front of me is enough. It is the daily faithfulness in this house. It is the cheerful word at church when my body aches. It is the willingness to learn one new thing this year instead of giving up.

I cannot do this in my own power. But You have gone up this mountain before me, and You are enough. The day is plenty because You are in it.
