Prayer for grandmothers

Father, You are mighty to save. Isaiah 63:1 says so, and I am holding onto that this morning.

I am bringing You the small list. Not the big saving, though I want that for everyone I love. Just the saving I need right now. Save me from myself. Save me from the temper that flares when my body is sore. Save me from the fear that turns a small ache into the worst story. Save me from calling the daughter who does not want a call yet today.

You are mighty to save from all of it. You have saved Your people in bigger and harder ways than what I am asking for today. And You still do the small rescues, because You are the same Lord.

Save me from the small thing today, Father. Let me practice with that. So when the bigger thing comes, I will know Your voice and turn the same direction.

I do not need new gods. I just need to keep recognizing You.
