Prayer for dads
Anchors: Isaiah 44:3
Father, You said in Isaiah 44:3 that You pour water on the thirsty and floods on dry ground. That promise is not for the impressive. It is for those who know they are dry.
I have spent too much energy pretending I am fine. I say I am good when I am running on fumes. I downplay the tired when someone asks. I cannot receive what You offer until I admit I am thirsty.
Help me name the dryness today. To You first, then maybe to one person who can pray with me. The mid-week thirst that keeps building. The slow pull away from things I used to love. The flat feeling in my quiet time this past month. Bring it into the light. Your water comes for those who admit they need it.
Lord Jesus, You said the thirsty can come and drink. I am thirsty. Pour water on me today. Not a big show. Even a steady drink is more than I had before I asked.
Amen.
