Dads
Prayer for dads
Anchors: Mark 9:19, Mark 9:24
Father, Jesus called His own disciples a faithless generation. That stings because I am part of it.
I have seen You work. Prayers answered. Close calls. Things I cannot explain. And I still doubt You on a regular Tuesday. In the Bible, a dad brought his son to Jesus and said, I believe, help my unbelief. That is my line too. Believe is on my lips. Unbelief is in my reflexes.
Be patient with the gap. Train me through the doubting into deeper belief. Do not punish me for being slow. Pull me forward. Every time I act on a small bit of faith and find You there, help me remember it.
Lord Jesus, You did not turn that dad away because his faith was weak. You healed his son. Hear my half-faith today. Act on what I do trust, even when I am not sure I trust enough.
Amen.
