Prayer for dads
Anchors: Mark 2:4, Luke 5:24
Father, in Mark 2 four friends tore open a roof to get their paralyzed friend to Jesus. The front door was blocked, so they found another way. They didn't care what people thought. They didn't stop.
I have been too polite with You about the people I love. I say a quick prayer, say amen, and move on. I settle for the front door when I should be tearing through the roof.
Make me bold in prayer this season. The brother whose marriage is wobbling — let me pray for him hard, over and over, even after I feel like I've asked enough. The friend who is far from You — let me keep going until something breaks through.
Lord Jesus, You honored their faith. Honor my stubborn prayers too. Not so people will thank me later, but so Your name is honored and Your love reaches the people I'm crying out for.
Amen.
