Prayer for dads

Father, in Mark 1:30 Peter's mother-in-law was sick with a fever. They told Jesus about her. That was all. They did not explain. They did not prove she deserved help. They just brought her to Him.

I forget that this is allowed. I clutter my prayers with reasons. I try to show I am not too needy. I apologize for asking. But the disciples just brought their need and trusted You.

So let me bring one straight thing today. Father, my friend is sick. My child is anxious. My work is hard. No extra words. Just the need and the ask.

Lord Jesus, You did not ask them to fix up their words. You went to her and lifted her up. Lift the people on my list this week the same way. Teach me to ask plainly and trust You with the rest.
