Prayer for dads

Father, in Genesis 24:63, Isaac went out to think and pray in the field that evening. He made space to be alone with You. I do not do that. My evenings are full of screens, dinner, kids, and half-listening while my phone glows.

Give me one quiet evening this week. A walk after dinner with no phone. A few minutes on the porch with no noise. A drive home with the radio off. I do not need a big retreat. I just need a small pause where I can hear my own life.

Show me what I miss because I never stop. The tension with my kid I keep pushing past. The thing my wife said that I did not really hear. The quiet word from You that gets lost in all the noise.

Lord Jesus, You often went away to quiet places. Help me do the same, even in a small way. The evenings belong to You too.
