Prayer for dads

Anchors: Deuteronomy 5:24

Father, You said in Deuteronomy 5:24 that Your people saw Your glory and lived. They did not die from the seeing. That is more than I usually allow. I treat my own awe like a luxury — something I might get on a clear morning if everything else lines up. But You are saying I can stand under Your glory and survive it. Seeing You does not crush me. You made me to live and breathe right in front of You.

Lord, pull back the curtain. Help me see, for one ordinary minute, that the kitchen, the kids, the work I do — all of it is in front of a real God who is not far off. Then let me go about my day as a man who has briefly remembered where he lives.

Lord Jesus, You showed us the Father. Let me see Him through You today — not in a vision, but in the plain task of loving the people in my house under His eye.

Amen.
