Prayer for dads

Lord, Your Word says that those who have died in Jesus are not lost. They are with You. And You will bring them with You when You come again.

I have lost people I loved. A grandparent. A mentor. A friend whose absence I still feel on certain Tuesdays.

This is not just wishful thinking. It is Your promise. The separation is not final. They are with You. They will come with You.

Let me grieve like a man who has read the rest of the chapter. Sad, but not without hope. Tender about the past, but not stuck in it. Help me live forward toward the reunion You have promised, and give me strength for the small daily faithfulness that fills the days between now and then.
