Prayer for dads

Lord, John wrote that we dwell in You. Not visit. Not consult. Dwell. I have been a frequent visitor at best. I drop by for crises and Sundays. But You are calling me to live there. Move me out of the temporary tent and into the actual house. That means small daily habits that mark a man who lives somewhere — not a tourist passing through. A morning that begins in You. A workday that returns to You at lunch. An evening that ends in You. Nothing fancy. Just the rhythms of dwelling. By the end of the month, let 'in Him' be where I am, not where I occasionally check in.
