Prayer for dads

Father, Jesus prayed with real human fear. He was heard. Not by taking the cross away, but by being heard. I have been hesitant to bring my fear to You as fear. I want to clean it up first. Stop me. Bring it raw. The fear of being unable to provide if the work dries up. The fear of failing as a father in ways my kids will carry for years. The fear of dying before I am done. Hear me in them. Being heard is the answer. Not always rescue. Often endurance. Let me leave today with my fear known to You, and lighter, even if not gone.
