Prayer for dads

Father, the hard thing I am carrying right now is not mine to face alone. The medical question we are waiting on. The grief that keeps showing up at odd hours. The friend's marriage that is breaking apart. Christ has been there first. He walks alongside me now. Send His comfort in ways I can recognize. A friend's text at the right moment. A line of Scripture that lands. A few hours of unexpected lightness. I do not need explanation. I need company. You are company. Let me feel that today. Amen.
