Prayer for dads

Lord, do as You have said.

About forgiveness when I confess.
About wisdom when I ask.
About being with me at work this afternoon.
About making me more like Jesus, even when I keep falling into the same small failure.

I am not asking for new promises today.
I am asking You to keep the ones already on the books.
That is enough.
I will stop trying to bargain.
Just do what You said.
I will believe You enough to walk into the day on it.
